As a strategic advisor and digital health program management professional for the past 20 years, Dr. Tynes focuses her work on the advancement and strengthening of global and local health systems. Having implemented several enterprise-wide telehealth solutions in the field, implemented solutions for large payor and provider organizations, U.S. state and federal clients, and multiple non-governmental agencies, Dr. Tynes is driven by creating opportunities for equity and access to healthcare for the world’s most vulnerable populations. Towards this aim, Dr. Tynes is actively engaged in policy and research to enable such access through her work in closing the digital divide and increasing digital literacy and inclusion.

As a primary area of expertise, Danika has implemented Telehealth programs and Electronic Health Records across the span of 15 years. Danika’s scholarly work focuses on the Diffusion of Innovation and when conditions are optimal for digital health initiatives to succeed, as many implementations do not. Toward this aim, Danika has now included in her research focus Digital Inclusion and Digital Literacy to help ensure that technologies for advancing health outcomes are accessible and available to all.

Throughout her career, Danika has worked in support of large initiatives for impact-oriented organizations that include Public Consulting Group, where she managed a digital health portfolio of over $350M, NuPhysicia Telehealth provider, Kaiser Permanente, Molina Healthcare, St. Joseph’s Health System,  as well as within U.S. State (Georgia, Washington, Louisiana, Tennessee, California, Texas) and Federal (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) organizations working across Medicaid/Medicare, Correctional Healthcare, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Managed Care, and with both Payers and Providers. With the aim of supporting sustainable agendas, Danika has also worked with multiple non-governmental organizations in program evaluation and monitoring for health and wellness programs, including the Art of Living Foundation, The International Association for Human Values, Works of Wonder International, and Wellspring Living.  Overall, Danika is focused on healthcare systems strengthening, and enabling technology for the benefit of global populations.

Danika was born in Oakland California, raised in Incline Village, Nevada (Lake Tahoe), enjoys skiing and hiking, as well as practicing meditation and mindfulness techniques such as breath work and Reiki. Danika holds a doctorate in International Development from the University of Southern Mississippi, a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, in Psychology and English with a minor in Africa and New World Studies.

Mr. Jean Marie Altema is the founder and CEO of profIT Development Consulting, a strategy and digital governance consulting firm. He is a Senior ICT Advisor with more than 20 years of experience, and an expert in Capacity Development, e-Governance, Telecom Regulation, Fintech, and digital strategy. Mr. Altéma also worked as a research and development manager for almost ten years in a private bank. In addition, he was a senior consultant to non-governmental organizations, international institutions, and private companies.

Mr. Altema was the head of the National Telecommunications Council (Conatel), the regulatory body for the telecommunications sector in Haiti, and a member of the presidential commission on innovation and youth integration. Before joining Conatel, he held the position of Coordinator of the e-Governance Unit in the Prime Minister's Office and ICT Advisor to the Prime Minister.
